In the past, my shop was building Pauper Commander decks based on the deck building constraints posted in Adam Styborski's article "Cheap Date". So unlike other Pauper metas, we were narrowed down to purely the ten MTGO allied generals. (This changed when the format got stale and Dominaria introduced a wealth of uncommon commanders. Also, Ethan Fleischer has confirmed that Chandler and Joven are probably listed rarity mistakes in Gatherer.)

The idea for this deck came about while trying to find a way to utilize Arvad the Cursed when there are no playable legendary creatures at common to include. When lifelink and deathtouch and the healthy 3/3 body alone were examined, it became apparent that Arvad the Cursed can function as a half of the front-end of a Wurmcoil Engine in Pauper EDH. One of the struggles in Pauper EDH had always been getting used to a 30 life/16 Commander damage format. With this direction in mind, the deck seeks to utilize as much of Arvad the Cursed as possible.

In case you're unclear on the combo, here's the plan: to gain infinite life, we need either a Nomads en-Kor or a Spirit en-Kor, a Daru Spiritualist or a Task Force, and a Severed Strands or Devour Flesh. The en-Kor creature can target the Daru Spiritualist or Task Force an infinite number of times for free, which gives us a creature with infinite toughness. Then, we simply kill our infinitely tough creature with Severed Strands or Devour Flesh to convert that toughness into lifegain.

Unfortunately, without the redundancy of 60 & 4 Pauper Magic, the lack of redundant effects, lack of tutors, and the speed of evasive creatures, this combo is inconsistent at best.
