Take at a more artifact heavy mono-white hammer time deck. my first attempt was Bonk, a boros hammer time deck focusing on using red spells to cheat the equip cost onto red creatures.
Overview
For my second attempt, this deck focuses on using Puresteel Paladin and Sigarda's Aid as the only sources of cheating equip costs. To reliably meet the metalcraft requirement, this deck runs many more artifacts and artifact creatures, alongside Urza's Saga and Cranial Plating to have more artifact payoffs if you're missing the ability to equip hammers.
Playguide / Mulligan targets
The theoretical fastest win is
T1 - Kor Duelist
T2 - Sigarda's Aid and Colosus Hammer, then swing for 22. If they have no blockers you win.
The fastest game I have played was
T1 - Steelshaper's Gift for hammer
T2 - Sigarda's Aid, Kor Duelist
T3 - Colosus Hammer, equip to duelist and swing for 22
A more reliable start that is less susceptible to removal is
T1 - Steelshaper's Gift or Kor Duelist or Esper Sentinel
T2 - Puresteel Paladin or Stoneforge Mystic (if no hammer or need more artifacts)
T3 - Colosus Hammer and 2 more artifacts, or Sigarda's Aid and Colossus Hammer. Then equip and swing big.
In more grindy/control matchups, focus on going wide with more artifact creatures and Urza's Saga plus Cranial Plating.
Sideboard
The sideboard contains some classic protection cards, removal, and graveyard hate with two new extra equipment options based on the opponent and your needs.
