Maybeboard

EDH is meant to be a "Fun", "Casual", "Multiplayer" format. With tons of extra turn spells and topdeck filtering, so one can cast them for free off of Narset, this deck is, in fact, none of those things. The name of the game is Spellslinging, both small utility spells that protect narset or meddle with opponents, or big flashy spells that cause big disruption and give us the advantage. Also lots of extra combat steps and extra turns, for even more narset triggers.

Key players:

Thousand-Year Storm This gives everything in our deck storm; it even stacks with true storm, like on Mind's Desire. Most importantly, it lets us copy our extra turn spells about a thousand times. Nuff said.

Invert / Invent This is part of a tutor chain that helps us set up to start going off. The chain is Mystical Tutor -> Invert / Invent -> Long-Term Plans & any extra turn spell, -> Thousand-Year Storm. Intercepting this chain at any point leads to us casting, either from hand using Omnispell Adept or our thousand mana rocks, or off the top through Brainstorm or Jace, the Mind Sculptor, both Thousand-Year Storm and an extra turn spell. We can even grab Brainstorm and an extra turn spell if we already have our pieces in hand, or copy Invert / Invent into anything else we need (board wipes that keep Narset around like Urza's Ruinous Blast or Time Wipe, -Emergency Powers to stimie an opponent keeping disruption up or to restock our library after a long game). I'm also a fan of grabbing Teferi's Time Twist along with Supreme Verdict for a nice one-sided boardwipe. All in all, an incredibly useful and versatile card.

Omnispell Adept discount narset, if played correctly. With Jeskai Ascendancy up, it gives all the spells in our hand a casting cost of . It also lets us cast out big flashy spells if they get stranded in our hands.

Win-Cons:

Rise from the Tides/Invade the City/Crackling Drake/Beacon Bolt These all effectively serve the same purpose, turning our steadily growing graveyard into useful bodies and damage. Crackling Drake even has the nice caveat of counting Exiled spells, so our extra turn spells that exile themselves have some use after we cast them.

Eldrazi Conscription This card is insane; when slapped on Narset, it cleans up games much quicker. Because of all of our combat steps, both the first ones we get on all our extra turns and the additional ones we take on those turns, we are primarily winning through combat damage. This dramatically speeds up that process, while also ensuring Narset can attack into anything without fear of blocks. The Annihilator is useful for dealing with troublesome permanents that can stymie our plans, like Stranglehold or Ethersworn Canonist. It also boosts Narset to a gargantuan 13/12, and her first strike deals with anything else that gets in her way.
