Animar Abominable Mutations

At the time, when Mutate was announced, it was the new mechanic that I was the most excited about, and even if there were at least two legendary creatures from Ikoria that cared about creatures with Mutate I found that none of them really helped me play them.

Therefore, I've decided to make the Commander of my deck the very powerful and annoying Animar, Soul of Elements. Also, at the time, I'd luckily just opened one from a Mystery Booster so that was great timing!

After playing this deck several times, I can assure you the fun part of this deck is that Animar, Soul of Elements can easily reduce the Mutate cost of your creatures to barely anything, allowing you to play multiple Mutate cards one after the other during the same turn and get the most out of their mutate triggers. This is, in the end, basically how Animar always plays, but just the fact that I can Mutate a bunch of times for a really low cost just makes me happy and that's the spirit of this format.

And also, to answer your question, yes, I am trying to get this deck as close as possible to only containing creatures and lands and nothing else.
