Commander / EDH BUG (Sultai) Dredge Midrange Reanimator Tokens Toolbox

Deckbuilding rules: No infinite combos, no tutors that slot into any deck, no "win the game" cards.

Goal of the deck is to self mill as efficiently as possible to increase card selection. Best way to do this is with dredge card + discard outlet combo, uses like 2 mana at most and pitches a decent # of cards per turn. This leaves enough mana open to take advantage of the increased card selection. All wincons work with the graveyard which makes this actually viable.

To compensate for adding cards to support dredge engine, wincons have been compacted to 2 or 3 card combos which tbh works much better (much less dependent on board state).

Early game is played by ramping to get sidisi out and start a self milling dredge engine as soon as possible. Mid game is more passive, answering threats but mostly creating zombies thru self mill and setting up reanimation/wincons. Transition to late game when a big fattie is reanimated or its safe to play out your big bombs.

Games are usually won by quietly working up to a specific line, keeping opponents at bay with control, and then winning with 20-30 burst damage kills. I didn't exactly intend for the deck to play like a combo deck but I found that it is incredibly effective to just set up a key combo turn and win that way.

Gotta find a good balance between good control tool creatures and actual threats. Ex. Kessig Cagebreakers might become a removal creature depending on how proactive or reactive the deck needs to be. (Kessig was removed for more draw, might add back later)

Nooze package (no combo) could be useful, probably gotta move some stuff around in the deck to make it work tho

Everything is still being tested so the deck is prone to significant change

Winning lines are

  1. Craterhoof Behemoth with a bunch of zombies, Worm Harvest, or Life / Death

  2. Syr Konrad, the Grim, either with a self mill engine or comboed with Bojuka Bog, Perpetual Timepiece, or Living Death

  3. Living Death works as a legitimate wincon and/or a boardclear

  4. Maybe reanimation value can get there, have to test it out. More control tools also could help here.
