This is my first ever Commander/EDH deck, and probably my only one. The only reason I dabble in this format is because I saw a group hug deck and I loved the idea, since I love strategy and political manipulation games.

If you haven't heard of a group hug deck before, it's basically a deck that encourages your opponents to fight themselves and leave you alone until your big win-con comes along. This goal is accomplished through various means: taxes (Ghostly Prison), baits (Crown of Doom), and the general helpfulness of this deck (in that many of the effects benefit everyone).

As I'm new to commander, advice is very much encouraged. I also need a good commander. This deck likes to win either through self-mill (via draw) or a card like Insurrection that just wipes everyone. If you're having trouble getting others to not kill you, or someone else is close to winning, you might try Platinum Angel.

Most of the cost of this deck is from Imperial Seal, at $630. Without the tutors, this deck is about $300.
