Update to the Sideboard notes - Black Zombies —June 11, 2017

I've made an update to the Sideboard Notes for if you play against
1-black-zombies.

It won't win you every game, but gives you the best chance possible.

McSky23 that's what we're here for - to help you tune.

If you do match reports we can do that more effectively. We can see what plays are causing you the most issues.

Learning to tune a deck, while often painful when you first start to do it, will teach you a valuable skill that you can hone over time.

There are other cards like Dispossess that can be added to this deck's Sideboard, that can rip all copies of Aetherworks Marvel from someone's deck, for example.

Final Reward is an over costed Oblivion Strike why don't you just sideboard that instead?

The instant effect isn't even what your really want because Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger doesn't even get to attack until you cast it.

chrclgry WRONG!!

Let me see if I can break this down so you'll understand it.

Oblivion Strike is this thing callled a "Sorcery". That means that you can only cast it during a "Main Phase".

Final Reward is something we call an "Instant". That means that you can cast it any time you like.

When playing against Blue Red Control that means that you can use Final Reward to get rid of Wandering Fumarole but you CAN'T do that with Oblivion Strike.

See, you play against a range of decks in a Magic the Gathering Tournament.

That means you have to set up a Sideboard that is versatile enough to face off against most of them.

Of course, you would realise that if you took three seconds to look at the list of decks I have under my "Sideboard Notes".

If you had taken an extra three seconds to check my "Cards Already Considered" you would see Oblivion Strike listed there.

Hope you learned something. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Argy,
The deck doesn't really need even MORE style points, but check out this seriously old-school Minotaur Life Counter!

Da-yum clayperce.

The older Magic players had access to some REALLY cool stuff.

This list is tons of fun! I am about to play this tonight at standard showdown and, while I do agree that it struggles against the tier one decks, I am sure I will be having way more fun piloting this compared to the marvel players. Nice work!
