Going against the color pie in mechanics and flavor: It's Green Madness! Comments, criticism and other types of input would be very welcome.

Forbidden Lore is part of a series of decks I'm assembling - decks that are going against modern ideas of the color pie as strongly as possible. At the same time, they are supposed to be powerful enough to hold their own at least on a semi-casual level.

Some thoughts about card choice: Sakura-Tribe Elder, while a famously Green card, provides us with some much-needed shuffle effects and early-game defense (i. e. chumpblocking). Drop of Honey is good for keeping aggro decks at least somewhat at bay. Deal Broker also helps us drop our Madness creatures (Arrogant Wurm and Basking Rootwalla) and makes it much easier to locate our finishers. Revelation mostly exists for the WTF value, as do Splintering Wind , Storm Seeker and Tornado , but they all actually do something. And hey, mana sinks. Harmonize further helps to keep you ahead on cards (not just card quality as with Library/Guile).

Unyaro Bee Sting is very inefficient, but it's Green burn and beggars can't be choosers. Beast Within is a catch-all answer.

"Forbidden Lore" is, of course, the name of a Green card (which we're not running) and ties in with our madness/knowledge theme.
