There are not enough good kicker cards to use exclusively, so the focus is to put counters on Hallar through other means before casting a kicker spell.

The cards in the sideboard are the first ones I'd like to test out if something in the main deck under performs.

Next on the chopping block:
Hunger of the Howlpack - More likely to run into mass removal than spot, so Hallar would be gone, anyway.
Vastwood Hydra - Same reason as Hunger of the Howlpack
