Just your typical Ezuri, Claw of Progress EDH. I had no intentions of buying this pre-con, but I got it for a really good deal and tweaked it with just a few cards, and then I realized how bonkers this guy is. Throw in Sage of Hours, Simic Manipulator, and Bring to Light, and boom, a deck.I've added a little more love to the deck with cards like Chord of Calling, Momir Vig, Simic Visionary , Fauna Shaman, and Oracle of Mul Daya. My deck runs a mild elf theme because of Priest of Titania. Seriously, the card's good.

My favorite part of Ezuri is that he's such a versatile commander. He smacks down and overruns in the early game, pumps evasive creatures in the mid game, and can combo or value out opponents in the late. Perhaps one of my favorite interactions with Ezuri is that he can put counters on man-lands like Faerie Conclave and Lumbering Falls. It's small, but man-lands that avoid all but instant speed removal is a miracle.

The best thing about the deck? It's pre-con is amazing right out of the box, and $20 more can make the deck viscious. MVP cards include Sage of Hours (of course), Cold-Eyed Selkie, Prime Speaker Zegana, and the Flusterstorm of a card, Chord of Calling. If you think an opponent has tricks up their sleeves, Chord for 3 at the end of their turn and watch their smug faces as they say "that resolves". Search up that Eternal Witness, return the Chord, and pass again. Next time, go for Deadeye Navigator, then freely set up whatever win-con you want. Chord for whatever answer, bounce whatever you want. Mystic Snake lock? Sure. Prime Speaker Zegana mayhem? You got it. All the while you earn Experience Counters! Hooray!
