Before anything else, Ulasht is a HYDRA HELLION. HIS HEADS ARE HELLIONS! How awesome is that? Think about the beauty and majesty this Seed of Hate has for one moment. It's amazing. Also, based on the art, the heads are all in multiples of five for some reason. Five heads, each with five tentacle things and five pokey arm things. Think about the dedication a hydra has to go through to achieve something like that and to keep it that way. Did it have to ask some Ravnican hero or something to chop off a certain number of heads and just hope they wouldn't kill it? Maybe he's some god or something to the Gruul Clans, and they protect it's perfect head count with their lives? These are questions we may never know. I demand Wizards give us more lore! Or tell me your ideas for his mathematical head perfection in the comments, let's see what we can do.

When I saw Ulasht, it started giving me ideas. Not for some run-of-the-mill Gruul Stompy list, but for something... different and unique, at the very least. So I threw this deck together, and I'm actually kind of pleased with it.

We aim to capitalize on, well, everything about Ulasht. +1/+1 counters galore, proliferatation and such to fill our Hydra Hellion up with counters, lots of token synergy for those saprolings he makes, along with more token generators in general, and some sac outlets if things ever go wrong, and lots of ramp to activate abilities and cast stuff a bunch.
