A Short Ride in a Fast Machine

Commander / EDH BR (Rakdos) Discard Reanimator

Wurwilf

Maybeboard

Now with more 100% more Hellcarver Demon!

Try to keep your wheels attached while you go on a wild ride!

Dump your library into your grave with Underworld Breach, Lion's Eye Diamond (or maybe Dockside Extortionist), and Wheel of Fortune.

Make infinite mana with Dockside Extortionist, Cloudstone Curio, and a small enough creature. Or, use the good ol' Worldgorger Dragon and Animate Dead (or friends) combo.

Any reanimation + Razaketh, the Foulblooded can help you get there.

Once infinite, play Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger, let him send himself back to the command zone, rinse, and repeat.

Cast Doomsday only with Reassembling Skeleton or Dregscape Zombie in hand and with 5+ artifacts/enchants on your opponents side. The pile from top to bottom goes: Faithless Looting, Hellcarver Demon, Shallow Grave, Dockside Extortionist, Cloudstone Curio. Crack the pile, shallow grave that big ol' demon and swing, cast Dockside and Curio for free, return one of the two creatures to the battlefield, go infinite, win.

I put my notes in an accordion to save space. Open at your own risk.

What do I do with Necropotence?

Pretty sure Altar of Dementia is not worth it. Maybe it is?

Needs more discard outlets? Bazaar?

I don't like a lot of the creatures currently in the list. I need a certain density (of cmc 2 or less) to support dockside + cloudstone combos.

Worldgorger combos are much more consistent on turns 3-4 than dockside combos, although very vulnerable to interaction. At first, I imagined woldgorger combos flickering Kroxa, but that's superfluous. Worlgorger makes infinite mana, cast Kroxa, he sends himself back to the command zone, repeat. I don't think I need too many more sac outlets.

Turn 2 and 3 wins are super possible. No consistency though, not sure what I can do in Rakdos. Not much incidental value to be found.

Is Praetor's Grasp worth it? If this deck wants to compete, this might be a saving grace. I wonder if I can find a more potent stax piece instead.

Twinflame + Dualcaster requires 5 mana on one turn to pull off, plus another creature already in play. Is this worth my time?

Waste Not is an extremely potent drop on turn one. Following up with a wheel or burning inquiry is the nuts. Would Simian Spirit Guide be worth including?

It's super hard to protect any combos. Trying out Defense Grid. Is Fork worth it too? Probably Pyroblast, now that I mention it.

Without Razaketh and Vilis, average CMC is 2.03 currently.

I have yet to goldfish a game where the dualcaster combo is the most efficient route to win. On a different note, very glad I included both REB and pyroblast. Still losing the counter wars, but at least this deck can put up a fight.

Removing Razaketh and Vilis would allow me to play Cursed Totem without fear. Hmmm.

Scroll Rack maybe? Almost certainly worth a try. What about Crucible of Worlds? This deck isn't particularly mana hungry, see remark above about average CMC.

It wasn't an intentional decision at first, but I'm preferring Unearth to Claim / Fame. Using fame on kroxa takes 6 mana total. Even with Geth's Grimoire or Waste Not out, that's poor value. Also, when on earth can I make 6 mana. I'd rather ritual into Ad Naus. I haven't cycled Unearth yet, but I bet I will.

Should I be playing Mesmeric Orb? It's a tough card to play correctly. I'll try it out for a while longer. I wish Rakdos had card draw, jeez.

Twinflame combo is outta here, for now. Considering dropping either Vilis or Razaketh, too. Less obvious to see what would be put in in their place.

I'm getting my sorcery list under control. Every time I build a deck I fill it with sorceries. Every time.

Average CMC is going down. Might be close to being under 2.00 without Vilis and Razzy.

Scroll Rack was 100% worth it. Built on a budget, no way. But with fetchlands, crazy.

Trying out Hellcarver Demon Doomsday pile, making tiny creature drops more valuable. Maybe include Insidious Dreams too?

Oppression is punishing, but not super punishing. I don't need midrange discard value.

This deck will run out of gas at a moments notice. I think I need to slot Necropotence and maybe Geth's Grimoire back in. Average CMC going back up sucks big for Ad Naus.

Stitcher's Supplier + Culling the Weak + Underworld Breach is worth considering.
