Maybeboard

The origin of this deck list is to tell a story at the kitchen table during Friday Night Magic. The intention is that the player is a planeswalker necromancer calling upon the hordes of the undead, reanimating the enemies heroes, and using dark sorceries to fight their mortal foes. The symbolic victory is using The Scarab God, the perfect creature, with the Sword of Feast and Famine to make an unstoppable horde.

Some cards in the Maybeboard I switch out for cards in the main list to better fit the power level of the playgroup. Some real Timmy cards are in there. Especially fun if you’re letting a new player play or play against this deck.

In application, Scarab God's ability to drain foes life will quickly make you archenemy. This is why we run a few counterspells and nearly every creature card that amplifies the zombie tribal synergies. Don't be afraid to think outside the box on this one, exploit your opponent's graveyards to secure your victory.

In addition, we run a black toolbox so we can manipulate graveyards, force others to sacrifice their creatures, ramp with phyrexian altar, disenfranchise direct attacks with no mercy, and other shenanigans. Have fun being evil!
