A Mostly Budget Mono Red Control Deck

Commander / EDH*

Sideboard

Enchantment (2)

Land (2)

Mono red control deck focused around stalling the game and cycling using the interaction with discard->draw effects and Squee, Goblin Nabob in order to draw through your deck and possibly find a win condition. If this fails you can probably lower every players' health pool significantly through powerful dual-purpose boardclears. This deck is for you if: 1. You like gameplay focused around slowing everything down in order to get a cheeky win or a mutually destructive finish. 2. You can't help but feel attracted to the charm of Squee, Goblin Nabob. 3. You don't mind everyone hating you.

As much as I love it, the deck has three large weaknesses: 1. No good way to remove problematic enchantments or indestructible creatures. This is why Ratchet Bomb and Nevinyrral's Disk are in the deck. 2. Many of the board clears hurt all players as well. Since this includes you (a player who has a low defense and minimal health gain) it can mean if anyone targets you, you might have too low a health pool to clear without dying. I tried to lower the life issue with the use of Dragon's Claw and Trading Post, but it doesn't stop people attacking you. Try to play politics with threatening board clears best you can to avoid being smacked down. 3. Its stuck to only three conditions: Vicious Shadows, Price of Progress, and Insurrection. If these fail or you can't get them to work properly, you basically lose. Also since all of them depend on your opponents' status it makes them fairly inconsistent, too. The only other win conditions are grinding people out with tokens from Desecrated Tomb and board clears that hurt their health pool while you slowly stabilize.

This deck has gotten so much hate that some of my friends claim that Squee, Goblin Nabob is overpowered, which is most definitely not true. The deck is bad and not very fun to play against, but it is satisfying to sneak a win off of much more competitive, creature heavy decks.

Sideboard has a few cards first to be replaced by the acquireboard.
