First Game, First Impressions —March 29, 2015

I had the opportunity to try the deck out in a 5-player game last night. My opponents were using the following commanders:

The game was pretty tight. Zameck Guildmage was ramping out of control and making giant beaters so I used my resources to keep him from getting out of control. I was able to do a couple cool plays where I tapped my commander to steal his attacker, Ghostly Flicker it to untap it and keep it (new instance of the creature), untap my commander and steal another attacker, then block the remaining two with his creatures, killing them all.

Changeling Titan was a behemoth smashing people for near-lethal commander in one blow and the threat of taking it kept it from swinging at me. Late game after Changeling Titan and Orzhov Guildmage died I was able to do some more combat tricks to stop the Nyx Weaver's assault on me and kill all of his creatures and then stole the Zameck Guildmage's last beater afterwards to finish them both off. All in all a very fun game.

I don't think Seasinger is legendary? I'm not sure if their are special rules for Pauper or if it's just for casual, I don't know.

The rules for Pauper are in the description: an uncommon commander (being legendary not necessary) and 99 common cards.

I'd add more ways to interact with non-creature permanents that pass through the counter-net. Things like Into the Roil, Repeal, and Capsize are all very good (Capsize being a win-con on its own).

I think you should prioritize sac-outlets to make the most of your general's ability.

I'll work those three in.

I believe Ashnod's Altar is the only outlet available in U besides Volrath's Curse which is convoluted (sacrificing is part of the static ability so it can only be done one time since it does not use the stack, ontop of the fact that it must be enchanting one of our creatures). If you know any other's I'll put them in. I was thinking maybe Wormfang Drake to exile something temporarily.
