Preconditions

I play with proxies and my group also plays without infinites. Those have been the preconditions for building this deck. Otherwise its not considered to be build or by all heavens to be even purchased for money. (Mainly Imperial Seal and those three dual lands from the reserved list are sickening and please switch them out immediately for other options if you feel too disgusted of yourself, I feel you. Currently my goup's power level forces me to play them, I whish WOTC'd buff tribals more.)

Strategic Reasoning

Playlines: Infect creatures, that want to get through by flying or being unblockable, is synergistic with the commander and her most important pirates, and treasures are definetely not imo. Black and blue are in fact the best colors for sneaky infect creatures anyway.

All are Pirates ---> "Arcane Adaption" can make every infect flyer creature into a pirate to synergize with the stealing ability of B.Brass and Cover of Darkness.

+1/+1 Counters = Recursion + stronger unblockable Infect ---> One major playline resolves around +1/+1 counters with Marchesa + Drana, Agitator Ant, Sword of Truth&Justice and Feast on the Fallen. Strengthen you creatures and make them durable against board wipes. To use 1+/+1 counters has an especially potent impact for your infect creatures. Herald of secret Streams then makes everything unblockable. Should Marchesa die or any other creature - revive them with a land called Volrath's Stronghold, which is even a nice pick for tutoring at a certain point.

Storms and Boarding ----> Late game you also got ofc "Cyclonic Rift" - raise storms and tide, or make them counters really count and "fierily emancipate" yourself for social equality and monetary freedom - aaaarrrh!

By the way: "Cloud Pirates" is still a politically problematic artwork/card and is in need for a new visual interpretation, which yet does not exist... Have a great one and best from Berlin.

Backstory

This deck is dedicated and was build for my girlfriend, who was enticed by the strong feminine artwork of Beckett Brass. Pirates in general show a great diversity of people, and many strong women, who are almost never sexualized. This made her like Magic the Gathering - Commander and her first Deck.
