Legend tells of a powerful relic, lost in the river of time. A weapon feared by the gods themselves, capable of cleaving mountains and reshaping the very landscape.

The slayer of worlds.

Caladbolg.

On an angelic charge, blessed by gods, Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale leads a crusade to obtain the blade of myth. With powerful champions and artifacts at her call, and the very heavens open to rain down judgement, she carves a path to the relic.

It is her destiny.

The lands before her are mere battlefields to-be, and behind her lie those that would hinder the will of the gods.

But to what end?

Such a powerful item could very well lead to her own destruction if the legends are true. Trepidation is what this quest requires. For even though Caladbolg is dangerous in any mortal’s hands, what plans for it does deity desire?

Perhaps the angels that charged the Hero of Ashvale should be feared more than the sword.

There is, however, another legend - a myth within a myth - that tells of a fallen hero from an age long forgotten by man. A hero even the angels feared; so much so that he was refused entry into the grand heavenly colosseum in the afterlife that all heroes find themselves. His soul was instead bound to his armor and hidden up among the landscape of the world, never to be reunited in the loneliness of eternity.

“Perhaps this hero, Kaldra, could be the one to wield Caladbold,” Gwyn thought. She would seek out great stone hewing giants, and kor mystics as she followed clues to their whereabouts.

As her quest continued on, the angels themselves that sent her on her quest grow curiouser. Two divine sisters seem ... abnormal, or at least more so for angelic beings... something... horrifyingly evil.

Perhaps, Gwyn thought, there is more going on than a simple quest to retrieve a relic of holy providence. Perhaps the slayer of worlds is truly meant to slay something quite literal, and the other angels were merely giving Gwyn and humanity a fighting chance.

The knight shuddered at the thought of what kind of evil an angel could become to warrant death at the end of such a fabled weapon.
