Spin to win - Jalira, Master Polymorphist

The style of this deck is a combo/control hybrid with a hyper aggro switch enabled by Jalira's activated ability. There were many considerations made in the construction of the deck because capitalising on her ability to cheat relevant objects into play meant not being able to include early game value creatures such as Spellseeker / Snapcaster Mage /etc. On top of that, the creatures she can cheat into play had to be carefully considered as they needed immediate board impact so if they themselves could not win the game, they could reroute opponent resources at little cost.
This deck runs some conventional blue artifact combos for infinite mana which is then funneled into a table kill.

Combos:

Dramastick: Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter

Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepeter is a very reliable combo as each component can be easily tutored and are useful on their own. In addition to the combo, it requires at least 2 mana worth of mana rocks to create a mana neutral loop with Sensei's Divining Top / Codex Shredder /( Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   + at least 1 card in hand) which also form outlets for the deck. Otherwise, a mana positive loop can be achieved through having an additional mana producing rock.

Paradox Engine can also be used with Isochron Scepter to cast the imprinted spell infinite times as long as there is 2 mana worth of rocks available.

Power Monolith: Grim Monolith + Power Artifact

Grim Monolith + Power Artifact is fairly easy to assemble and generates infinite colourless mana. This mana is generally used to firstly draw the library and then use those cards to end the game though it can also be used to cast It That Betrays or Blightseel Colossus as well as cards such as Paradox Engine to help generate coloured mana.

Somewhat Mana-Neutral Outlets

Sensei's Divining Top : With Dramastick, you can activate Sensei's Divining Top , respond with a stick activation to untap it and repeat X times where X is the amount of cards in your library. The result will be having the contents of your library as well as the Sensei's Divining Top in your hand and an untapped Isochron Scepter which should have enough mana positive actions to restart the loop to generate infinite mana which can be used in an infinite mana outlet to win.

Codex Shredder : With Dramastick, Codex Shredder can be looped to mill all opponents. This only works on opponents who do not run in-deck mill protection. If Dramastick is generating infinite mana, Codex Shredder can be used on the self to grab some infinite mana outlet.

Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   : Functions similar to Codex Shredder targeting self. He is significantly better with infinite mana as you can stack the loot effects to find Stroke of Genius , cast it to kill an opponent, then continue looting until you discard a Kozilek, Butcher of Truth , which shuffles the Stroke of Genius back into your library allowing you to loot into it again. The manaless loop is described in complex combo section below.

Mana-Required Outlets

Generally if you have infinite mana you will be looking for an X-draw-spell such as Stroke of Genius or Pull from Tomorrow to end the game. The first would be used on the self to draw your library, and then recur Stroke of Genius three times to end the game.

Scenario 1 :

  1. Pull from Tomorrow for library
  2. Stroke of Genius -> Codex Shredder -> Stroke of Genius -> Mission Briefing -> Stroke of Genius
The deck runs three possible creatures, each has a specific reason for existing in the deck. Knowledge of what creatures are left in the deck will provide a very large strategic advantage. Jalira, Master Polymorphist also returns revealed cards to the bottom of the library in a random order so it is crucial to remember key cards that appear during activations as you will know that you are not going to draw them.

Bombs

Blightsteel Colossus

Blightsteel Colossus is a game-ender for opponents that have no blockers. This creature will generally be most effective against low creature count decks such as Chain Veil Teferi. Trample is extremely relevant as most opponents will only block the bare minimum required to survive the hit, allowing you to use any removal ( Pongify / Rapid Hybridizaiton / Cyclonic Rift ) to end them. Blightsteel Colossus can also be used defensively as you can surprise opponents by polymorphing one in to block or if you have no other polymorph hits in your library, you can spin a tapped Blightsteel Colossus into an untapped one. This trick can also be used to dodge removal.

It That Betrays

It That Betrays is a very good creature to spin into as it plays two crucial roles; it is a hate piece for a lot of graveyard decks as they tend to sacrifice permanents which means it can stop effects such as Academy Rector or Bomberman combos ( Lion's Eye Diamond + Auriok Salvagers ) and it is also a value engine which allows to borrow fetchlands and one use combo stoppers such as Tormod's Crypt . On top of that, being a 11/11 with Annihilator 2, it can end a game quickly if not dealt with.

Consecrated Sphinx

Consecrated Sphinx is an extremely strong card that generates an insane amount of card advantage if not dealt with. Using Windfall while it is in play will almost always guarantee drawing into combo unless everyone has very few cards in hand. If Consecrated Sphinx is the last creature in your library can you can spin out, you can wait until an opponent uses a draw spell and then respond by polymorphing it in to get twice the amount of cards. It can also be used to kill a player with a Notion Thief .

Precusor Creatures

The selection of object that you can sacrifice to Jalira, Master Polymorphist was carefully considered to have as much independent value while not interfering with the spins.

Hope of Ghirapur : Is the weakest of the selection of creatures, however the sacrifice ability becomes relevant when you want to stop disruption hitting your combo on your turn.

Baral, Chief of Compliance : Discount is somewhat relevant, the loot effect also allows you to ditch big creatures that get stuck in hand. Can be an outlet in a pinch.

Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   : A low cost creature with repeatable card selection ability is decent for two mana. The transformed card can actually be less useful at times as creature-Jace is an outlet for untaps. Transformed Jace can be used to hold up a used Force of Will when necessary to combo or to repeat a tutor.

Inkmoth Nexus : ETBs untapped and can be used to apply preemptively poison on opponents or finish off a player hit by Blightsteel Colossus .

Mishra's Factory : ETBs untapped and can block up to 2/3 creatures advantageously through its second ability used on itself. This is more relevant in my meta than the speed provided by Blinkmoth Nexus + Inkmoth Nexus as I do not tutor for lands.

Mutavault : A 2/2 relevant blocker that can surprise opponents. Occasionally the typing becomes relevant though realistically it is here because it is the second biggest ETB untapped, 1-mana activation, man-land after Mishra's Factory . Can be used to block and be pumped by Mishra's Factory while dodging known artifact removal.

Vendilion Clique : Instant speed. Can be used to shred 2 piece combos such as flash hulk and dramatic by casting in response tot he first piece and tucking the second.

Venser, Shaper Savant : Counterspell that turns into a dude. Can also go infinite off Paradox Engine by bouncing himself.

Tormod's Crypt -> Graveyard, Reanimator and Recursion Decks. Can be tutored out at instant speed with Whir of Invention .

Commandeer -> Can hose greedy spells and bad keeps by stealing early game rocks. Also hurts planeswalker commander decks (CVT / Darreti) which do not run enough creatures to beat up their own planeswalkers.

Extract -> Used to cripple linear combo decks, forcing them to either play reactively or search for a Riftsweeper or Pull from Eternity . Common targets include Mikaeus, the Unhallowed , Food Chain , The Chain Veil , Temur Sabertooth , Labortaory Maniac.

Both of these cards have an effect that lets you draw a card and discard a card. For Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   you will need Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter OR Paradox Engine and with Baral, Chief of Compliance you will need Dramatic Reversal IMPRINTING any counterspell + Paradox Engine .

For Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  : Activate Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   AT LEAST 300 times stacked on top of each other, and any arbitrary amount more if you do not have at least 2 cards in hand before they start resolving. IMPORTANT: This line cannot be kickstarted if at any point the ability resolves and there are 5 or more cards in your graveyard as Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   will transform.

For Baral, Chief of Compliance : Cast any spell (for this example we will use Mystic Remora ) then activate Isochron Scepter to cast (in this example though any counterspell that can counter itself is acceptable) Swan Song (SS1), the Isochron Scepter will then untap with the Swan Song on the stack, activate Isochron Scepter again and have the new Swan Song (SS2) target the Mystic Remora (MR), with the next untap, make another Swan Song (SS3) also targeting the (MR) and another Swan Song (SS4) targeting (SS3). You can repeat this structure to have all the odd numbered Swan Song s targeting the Mystic Remora and all the even numbered Swan Song s targeting the previous Swan Song . This creates an arbitrary amount of "spell was countered" events and allows you to do the following.

Now you draw and discard whatever you drew continuously unless you draw a Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or a Blightsteel Colossus (which you should keep in hand) or Gush (Which you cast by returning islands). If there are no cards left in your library, discard the banked Kozilek, Butcher of Truth to loot through your graveyard again.

By casting Gush , you add 3 slots to your bank (+2 from the islands, +2 from cards drawn, -1 casting Gush ) and this means that the next time you cycle through your library, you will be able to keep 3 more cards. Continue until you have all the cards you need to generate mana to go infinite with the Isochron Scepter setup and then the next time your library is empty, discard Blightsteel Colossus to have every card in your library stay in your yard. You can then Jace, Telepath Unbound {-3} ability to hold up either the Stroke of Genius or Force of Will for the kill.

If Pithing Needle is put directly onto the battlefield through Transmute Artifact opponents will not be able to respond to what you name if they are unaware that is what you are searching for. This is useful for stopping opponents who have a responsive combo or to keep unsuspecting opponents from being able to activate fetch lands.
