Colours and Commanders

Firstly, I want to prune the colour identity. Black and Blue just have so few dinosaurs that pruning them out is a snap decision. Green is of course essential. This gives us Ghalta, Primal Hunger, The Tarrasque, and Thrasta, Tempest's Roar, of which Ghalta, Primal Hunger seems obviously better than the other two. Trample, and a very relevant cost reduction mechanism are very powerful indeed.

Red seems to also offer a great deal, however the only theme appropriate commander for this is Zilortha, Strength Incarnate, which I don't think would make it pass the first cut round - this card seems very poor to my eyes. White has enough dinosaurs to be worthwhile considering, and fantastic commander options in Gishath, Sun's Avatar and Zacama, Primal Calamity.

So the first decision in my eyes: Mono green, or Naya? Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Gishath, Sun's Avatar, or Zacama, Primal Calamity? Zacama, Primal Calamity and Gishath, Sun's Avatar are both about the same price, but I must say, Gishath, Sun's Avatar's ability to cheat out a whole host of dino's just feels fantastically on theme.

Exploring the available card options, I feel like Red and White offer so much, that the winner, and our commander is Gishath, Sun's Avatar, with Zacama, Primal Calamity as our secondary
