This budget deck focuses on playing a wide variety of allies in order to maximize the number of ETB triggers. You'll be playing an ally pretty much every turn with this deck, which means that all of your creatures will have some combination of a power boost ( Akoum Battlesinger ), first strike ( Kor Bladewhirl ), lifelink ( Lantern Scout ), menace ( Firemantle Mage ), vigilance ( Makindi Patrol ), trample ( Ondu Champion ), and indestructibility ( Hero of Goma Fada ). In most games you'll be able to get Munda, Ambush Leader or Sea Gate Loremaster down by turn 5, which will allow you to dig deep into your deck (Loremaster alone will draw you 5-10 cards every turn). You'll want to look for a Murasa Pyromancer at that point in the game - it will normally do 6 points of damage when it comes out on turn 6, and you can then drop multiple allies on turn 7 to start clearing the battlefield. One last ally deserves special mention: Ondu Cleric will normally earn you 2 life on turn 2, 3 life on turn 3, etc. That's good enough for a two mana investment. But things really get out of control when you're able to get multiple copies down. For example:

• Turn 1: Expedition Envoy
• Turn 2: Ondu Cleric = 2 life
• Turn 3: Lantern Scout = 3 life
• Turn 4: Ondu Cleric and Akoum Battlesinger = 18 life
• Turn 5: Ondu Cleric , Kor Bladewhirl and Expedition Envoy = 62 life

That's 85 life gained in just four turns! Of course, you're not going to get this draw very often, but even two Ondu Clerics will get you a ton of life over the course of the game.
