As individuals, we are strong.

As a unit, we are unstoppable.

Since I first discovered allies back some time before Theros, I fell in love. I'd always been a fan of tribals and synergy, and was especially found of unused decks/mechanics. Allies were all of these things, and remarkably powerful.

A couple of notes about the deck. I run 22 lands, cause hitting a T3 3rd land REALLY keeps up the tempo. I run 5 basics, 2x Forest and 3x Plains mainly because Blood Moon. The beautiful thing is, being a 4 color deck with a lot of flashy lands ALWAYS brings in that Blood Moon, but I find that so long as you fetch basics, it only slows you down a little. Point being, you might look like an easy target, but they often just waste a turn casting it, which can be a brutal mistake.

I'm looking for help on the sideboard, cause I always have trouble figuring out what to do, but this is what I've managed to work out so far.

After some playtesting, I discovered a couple of things about my deck and the venue at which I play modern. As a result, I dropped black, and the one black card I ran, Drana, Liberator of Malakir:

1: Drana is amazingly powerful, but she's slow. While my other 3-drops can't possibly compare in terms of raw power, they ALL immediately do something, namely evasion for my other allies. Sub-point, there are a reasonable number of combo decks that I need to race down and Drana just didn't do that.

2: Her casting cost was rough. While I rarely had issues casting her what with the ally lands, I often was forced to hold a fetch in hand, or take an extra shock to use her. Sub-point, Blue Moon has been dominating my local store and cutting black for more red and adding more basics should distinctly help.

My current replacement is Reckless Bushwhacker, which is wonderfully fast and red. I'm contemplating running 1 less of him to make a 3-of a 4-of. Also considering dropping Harabaz Druid to a 3-of. End result, less robust, lots faster, doesn't auto-lose to Blood Moon.
