I have been trying to create a Dragon's Approach deck for some time now. Most importantly, I want a deck that wins by casting Dragon's Approach, not by looking for dragons. (My dragons are all in Bladewing the Risen.)

The biggest problem with this deck is card draw. Rielle, the Everwise seemed good at first, especially with access to Ancient Silver Dragon and cards like Dack Fayden. But with Rielle, the deck is too busy doing other stuff than casting Dragon's Approach. Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion looked good. But the deck needs to tutor for Thrumming Stone fast before running out of steem.

Enter Florian, Voldaren Scion. While not exactly a hit flavorwise, he can do the following:

• He wants you to cast Dragon's Approach
• He helps you search for cards. One DA cast allows you to look at the top 9 cards of your library and play one of them. This also allows you to never miss a land drop.
• By sending the rest under the library, the decks stays vivid and ever changing.

The deck does have some issues, most of all card draw, as said before. Wheel of Fortune, Reforge the Soul are great, especially with Spellweaver Helix and one Dragon's Apprach. If we manage to put Jeska's Will in there, we basically have a second Thrumming Stone. Knollspine Dragon and Dragon Mage are the only relevant dragons, as they will draw us cards.

Seemingly obvious supporting cards that enhance, double, or even triple the damage like Obosh, the Preypiercer don't fit into the deck, because most of the time we won't have the time to cast them. Since we're mostly wide open for attacks, Young Pyromancer and Bitterblossom are cheap cards that can provide us with consistent blockers, and Exquisite Blood gains us 9 life with every DA. We run all major red and black boardwipes, too.

With all the mana rocks and Locket of Yesterdays we usually have enough mana. We just need fuel. Sensei's Divining Top and Experimental Frenzy can be great.
