A very good card for Gheist's ability is sundial. You can end the turn before combat ends to just pile up angels. Sure, you miss main phase 2, but you get a lot of tokens.

I had Sundial in the deck but drawing cards and not being able to cast them is less of an advantage.

Also, token count and life gain means nothing in EDH. Sundial is for casuals.

Hi Skillville,

Excellent deck! The only card I could think of to recommend would be Spirit Mantle; nice redundancy to Aqueous Form. Keep up the nice brewing!

Kind regards,

Legit. I'll add one to my cart and figure out what to replace it with.

You should 10000% throw in Sigil of the Empty Throne and Nomad Mythmaker

The Nomad is a good possibility. Sigil is too weak and I wish it were a different card every time I draw it.

Karmic Justice is a card i like in enchantment decks. Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves are also super good just for giving your creature haste. Bruna, Light of Alabaster can be a cool back up commander for when you just can't cast your commander. Nevermore can also be pretty sweet for naming some boardwipe you don't wanna see, or just to not let someone cast their commander for whatever reason. Greater Auramancy is pretty sweet if you slam it down after loading up all the auras you can to prevent people from targeting them

Military Intelligence, Ophidian Eye, and Curiosity could all provide some nice card draw.

What's your guys take on Sigil of Sleep? I was thinking about that and Curiosity instead of the X draw spells?

Military Intelligence won't trigger Geist because the angel comes in after declaring attackers. This is why Geist gets the exalted trigger from Sovereign of Lost Alara. I used to rock Nevermore, it's just hard making cuts. Should I keep the spot removal or swap it out for more enchantments? Or maybe the Day / Wrath?

You thought about using Pemmin's Aura before as another way to protect Geist as well as give it evasion and pseudo vigilance? An all-star card that I use in my Tuvasa deck. Also Curiosity and Ophidian Eye are decent cards that can draw you cards and with Sun Titan it can give you recursion value as well. I feel you can cut Open the Vaults for Winds of Rath.

Additional removal spells that are annoying to deal with is Darksteel Mutation as well as Imprisoned in the Moon. Hope that helps!

+1 Skillville

What made you choose this commander over Bruna, Light of Alabaster, is it the low CMC and the hexproof?

Crystal Chimes - Returns 1/3rd of your deck to your hand.

Angelic Renewal - Not needed, but good synergy with Sun Titan.

I feel like you could benefit from 1-2 more counterspells, given you are a voltron all in strategy, even more so with auras. What do you think?

Profet93 Sup friend,

Hexproof and low CMC is the main reason. Yes. This was my first commander ages ago.

I played Giest in modern and it was always a pain for people to deal with, so I kept the ball rolling with the transition.

I had Chimes in here initially but with Bruna, Replenish, and Retether I found those to be much faster and less mana intensive. 3 options is good enough, never really needed a 4th.

Angelic Renewal I have, might toss it back in.

I had Dovin's Veto in a while ago, kind of miss it. I'd probably take out Path to Exile since it nets my opponent 1 mana. I'll tinker with this list a bit later on this week and we'll see how it goes :)
