We Grow The Best and Brightest

Welcome. The doctors are down the hall and to your...wait you aren't here because you're sick? You seek to join us? Interesting. Here in the Combine, we seek to master the art of life itself. You desire to learn our ways? To unravel the secrets of DNA, cells, and biological life itself? Good...let me give you more information on what we do here.

The Head Researcher

We are led by none other than Vorel of the Hull Clade. He will be your commander as well. He can take anything with potential and make it something even bigger and stronger. It may learn new tricks as well such as becoming unblockable or immune to opponent's spells. Some creatures may even be fused into one. If this doesn't bother you, let's proceed.

The Big Guns

We do indeed have several creatures where the limit to their power is only your imagination. They're mostly hydras, as we've determined them to be nature's strongest predator. Protean Hydra was one of our first breakthroughs, being able to prevent damage and use it to grow stronger. Managorger Hydra becomes more powerful the more spells you and your opponents cast. Voracious Hydra can either make itself larger on casting or function as specific removal if need be. Steelbane Hydra is a hydra designed to destroy unnatural defenses of our enemies. Hydroid Krasis was the first flying hydra. It can also heal you and help with gathering valuable data. The Goose Mother can also fly and help you draw new cards. She is the first hydra with feathers that we're aware of. The last two hydras are two of our proudest achievements: Primordial Hydra and Kalonian Hydra as they can grow and mutate on their own.

Ochre Jelly is a potential powerhouse that if killed, seems to always return. It is weaker when it does so, but growth and life is our specialty!

Endless One is a marvel truly. It is the first known completely synthetic life form. Created completely by us with no input from nature. It's potential is limitless.

Prime Speaker Zegana can serve as a way to refuel yourself and can become a powerhouse in her own right.

Smaller Pet Projects

Not all of our scientists are making ooze and not all of our creatures are giant, multi-headed monsters. We have other small mutants and people working on various technologies. Ancient Bronze Dragon, Deepglow Skate, Forgotten Ancient, Gyre Sage, Incubation Druid, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Lorescale Coatl, Oran-Rief Ooze, Scavenging Ooze, Scute Mob, and Thassa, God of the Sea are some of the options available to you to turn unlock any creature's full potential.

Things like Hydra's Growth, Forced Adaptation, Master Biomancer, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, The Ozolith, Court of Garenbrig, and Zegana, Utopian Speaker can also increase the strength of creatures. Duskshell Crawler can give them trample!

Fueling and Protecting Yourself

Powerful creatures require lots of raw energy to power. We do have spells to help you along. Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Rampant Growth will get the job done. Lifecrafter's Bestiary will also allow for new spells to be learned. The Great Henge allows for fuel and increases the strength of our creatures, usually at a discount.

If you find yourself against a foe with powerful creatures of their own, we have ways to remove them. Dissolve, Beast Within, Rapid Hybridization, Pongify, Oversimplify , and Curse of the Swine can get these bothersome foes out of the way so your superior creatures can overwhelm your enemies.
