A Feather, the Redeemed deck focused on attacking and reacting. The commanders ability means you don't lose the instants and sorceries you play when they resolve, so you can abuse certain cards and abilities that revolve around casting instants and sorceries. Creatures with Heroic seemed like an easy choice to get more value from that.

How To Play

How the start of the game should be played.

  • Your opening hand should be a variation of 2-4 lands, providing at least both of your commander colours, some sort of cheap protection spell to keep Feather around, and hopefully a creature to interact with your spells in some way.
  • Feather should really only be played when you have open mana left over to protect her.
  • If you have a creature, drop it the turn before you drop Feather to both eat early removal and set up for extra value on the protection spell once your commander is on the field.

Establishing a board presence.

  • Deflect incoming pressure using instants that also give you card draw, choose the best one for the situation.
  • Make your opponent throw their hand in the graveyard by dodging their control attempts.
  • Use open mana before you start your turn to draw more cards. Path to Exile targeting one of your own creature tokens trades it for a land every turn if you can afford it.

When you're ready to end the game.

  • Wide attacks with token armies generated from casting and recasting spells.
  • Large creature damage from creatures buffed by spells and equipment, can one shot with Commander damage or have an unblocked 1/1 deal 20 damage.
  • Direct damage sources that are both targeted and repeatable, or are triggered by spell casting.
