Welcome to my Xyris, the Writhing Storm build!

I wanted to make a wheel deck for a while, but knew Nekusar would not be fun to play against in my playgroup. Then Xyris was revealed and I immediately knew I wanted to build him with wheels.

The goal is simple. Ramp him out as soon as possible and start wheeling. :)

Since Xyris is a big part of the deck’s game plan, there is a lot of protection spells to hopefully let him survive long enough to at least get a board of snakes out. A single wheel could easily get you over 20 snake tokens, which is insane. We can further abuse the massive amounts of tokens we get through huge mana generators like Cryptolith Rite or Mana Echos. There are also some powerful buff cards, like Coat of Arms, that help us close out the game.

I am always swapping cards in and out to improve the deck. If you have any suggestions on cards to cut or add, I would love to hear your thoughts.
