This is a nasty little fun-deck I have been working on a bit. It sort of takes the superfriend concept to an unhealthy level. I started asking myself, "why don't people use the Proliferate mechanic with Planeswalkers?" Seems like a no-brainer to me. I mean, we all want to ultimate our Planeswalkers, so why not go all in on the concept? Enter the Slaves of Bolas. So we start with a Flux Channeler (or two). So each time we cast a non-creature spell (and we have some 32 non-creature spells in our deck) we can Proliferate our Planeswalkers. Then we start with the madness. As soon as possible we want to get a Saheeli, Sublime Artificer on the board. She is cheap, she has split mana symbols in her casting cost, hopefully she is easy to get out. Whenever you cast a non-creature spell with her out, she makes you a Servo token. Very handy little chump blocker. Or, you can use her ability and have it essentially clone your Flux Channeler. In the early stages of the game this might not be terribly useful, but when it comes time to cast out more Planeswalkers that little ability is going to get wild. Our next focal point is getting Sarkhan the Masterless on the board. We want to start getting Dragon tokens thrown down as soon as possible. Why? Well his passive ability that's why. Every time an opponent attacks each Dragon we own deals 1 damage to that creature while Sarkhan is in play. So if you have 1 Dragon token, you get 1 damage, 3 tokens gives you 3 damage! For free! So next we pivot to the interaction between Ob Nixilis, the Hate-Twisted and Narset, Parter of Veils. No doubt your opponent is going to have creatures by this time that need killing. Ob Nixilis is happy to oblige. Most people are hesitant to use 'ole Ob because when he blows up a creature it's controller draws 2 cards. UNLESS, you have Narset on the table. Narset limits the draw to 1 which lessens somewhat, Ob's downside. Now I ask you, is there any reason you have to blow up your opponent's creatures? I mean yes, that is usually desirable, but what if you are flooded out and really need to dig for a Bolas? Or what if you are mana-screwed and really need another red source for your Sarkhan? Well, Ob can blow up a creature of yours to give you 2 more cards. Now, as soon as Ob is in play, we're looking for a Liliana, Dreadhorde General. What we want to do with her is plus her until we can ultimate her, which, if we're Proliferating even somewhat decently, is probably going to be the turn after she comes into play. By hitting her ultimate, our opponent will have to sac all but 1 of their lands. If that doesn't force victory right then and there, we have other tricks up our sleeve such as Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God himself! So as utility/tech we have Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor creating chump blockers for us, Teferi, Master of Time to bounce some of that pesky stuff our opponents run out, we have Ashiok, Nightmare Muse to create more chump blockers or to generally piss off our opponents, and of course we have our mass removal spells Shatter the Sky and Time Wipe to help clean up the battlefield. I had considered Deafening Clarion instead of Shatter, and you are welcome to go that way if you'd like, I chose Shatter because I have played against superfriends decks before that used Clarion and ended up losing to my Uro or something else Clarion didn't take care of. With Shatter you get all removal all the time, and since both hit our Flux Channelers anyway, who gives a darn? The mana in this deck is a bit wonky in my opinion. I had given serious thought to going all Temples all the way, or possibly 2-3 of the various Temples and then roll the rest shock lands, but in the end, the Triomes ended up being my best bet, and then using Fabled Passage as mana correction which is why we have 2 of every basic land color (at least) in the mana base. This is still very much a work in progress. I realize this deck has its limits, I haven't played against any truly ravaging aggro decks yet, but against some of the midrange decks people are playing it does alright.
