This is an extreme budget deck, costing about $70. Blood Artist is at the crux of the deck, rewarding me when I remove the opponent's creatures and punishing them when they remove mine. Quest for the Gravelord and Wight of Precinct Six are the two-win cons. With the shadeclave being an annoying problem that they can't keep dealing with. And the nighthawk being good value. with the Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire is more of a test in the deck because if you can get this off you can get a win-con or an answer so It has its worth I think.

Both the feed the swarm and inscription of ruin is cards that I think are good but I don't know what modern is looking like right now so.
