When Building Derevi there are 2 main paths people will build, a brutal Stax deck or something like bird tribal. I wanted to build something different than that. So I took built a maverick shell and the deck has slowly evolved from there. This deck is about getting a creature like a Thalia or Gaddock Teeg in play and making it harder for each opponent to play and then slowly gaining an advantage from there. Derevi allows us to get in damage and untap lands to extend our plays second main or leave up mana for a counterspell.
