This is an elf deck for the new Frontier format

THE RAMP

• Rishkar, Peema Renegade: gotta try her out. she seems pretty good. makes 2 mana dorks and pumps a little. 3 mana isnt too much to ask for that. i can dig it.

• Elvish Mystic: staple card of the deck. adds mana for whatever you want and lets you jump the gun on some bigger dudes.

• Gnarlroot Trapper: adds mana similar to the savant, but at the cost of life. need one drops, so this guy makes the cut. can do some wacky combat stuff with the whole deathtouch thing. probably relevant.

CARD ADVANTAGE/HAND FIXING

• Elvish Visionary: Card draw on a body. What's not to love?

• Sylvan Messenger: Creature draw on a body (w/trample). What's not to love?

• Lifecrafter's Bestiary: this pokedex allows me to scry every upkeep to fix the draw for turn and lets me get a ton of mileage out of my creatures.

THE WIN-CONS

• Decimator of the Provinces: eat a guy to cut the mana cost. mana shouldnt be a problem with 12 dorks running around. sacing Beastcaller Savant is honestly one of the better choices after tapping him for mana. makes all your guys big. EDIT moved to sideboard after testing.

• Obelisk of Urd: should be able to get this baby out early enough to make a difference.

• Shaman of the Pack: potential to take a chunk of life away. enough so that either previous swings in or future swings in should be enough to seal the deal.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

• Dwynen's Elite: makes bodies for the stuff that pumps them to be more useful. fills up the board.

• Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen: pumps up the guys a little, gains some life a little. can reach. all around pretty good for the deck. may cut in the future for more of the other pump stuff after playtesting.

• Nissa, Vastwood Seer  : solid 3 drop. gets a land. eventually flips to be a walker to generate some card advantage or a 4/4 elemental dude. 1-of should be fine.

• Narnam Renegade: wanted to try this little guy out. i think it will be a nice addition but we shall see. another card that i wanted to check out was Greenwheel Liberator, but without a significant revolt trigger outlet i believe these guys may just not be good enough. ill give em a try at some point.
