Hello cat lovers!

This is currently the version I play at my LGS. This deck was made after a lot of playtesting, and although not the best deck it is still fun for me. My initial idea was to combine Leonin Vanguard, Sacred Cat and Ajani's Pridemate with terrains like Cabaretti Courtyard and Brokers Hideout to have early sinergy by gaining life from the terrains, leonnin and sacred to pump ajani, but this strategy proved to be not reliable, so I converted the deck into a Collected Company deck!

The deck has 29 creatures which is kinda in the middle of 27-34 creatures that one needs to play in order to maximize CoCo. I also addeed some removal and utility lands. The strategy of the deck is pretty much put cats and get them stronger with CoCo. Let's begin with the deck analysis:

Initializers:

  • Sacred Cat: Very good one drop. It is versatile since one can use the embalm ability and gets stronger with the lords;

  • Fleecemane Lion: A two drop for 3/3 is strong. It gets even better with the monstrosity ability;

  • Adorned Pouncer: IMO not the best two cat drop but is decent because it has the eternalize ability and comes back as a 4/4 double strike that can get bigger with lords;

Lords:

  • Adaptive Automaton: Ok, this is a little bit of cheating, but technically it is still a cat... I mainly put it here because in pioneer we lack of cat lords. A better option would be Metallic Mimic but it is much more expensive... and I currently don't own a set of those;

  • Feline Sovereign: Great lord and the protection against dogs gets me every time. The great thing about this lord is that one can destroy target enchantment or artifact an opponent controls if cats do combat damage;

  • Kaheera, the Orphanguard: Not the best lord because it is legendary... But a good one. I only run three (counting the companion) copies because as I said, it is a legendary creature;

  • Regal Caracal: IMO the best lord, the only problem is that it costs five mana. Very strong mid to late game and game changing;

Other creatures:

  • Brimaz, King of Oreskos: Excelent card, three mana for a 3/4 with vigilance is insane! And it gets even better with the tokens it generates;

  • Leonin Warleader: Strong card to generate tokens that can get stronger with the lords, plus the tokens have lifelink;

Lands:

  • Pretty standart lands for pioneer. Maybe drop one boseiju and eiganjo...

Instants:

Sideboard:

  • Prowling Serpopard: A match against a control deck is not ideal ,but if one has to face it, this card will help to get your cats on the field. Maybe One more copy should be good.
  • Realmwalker: I would side this card against control decks, since it gives you the ability to scry and cast creatures from the top of your library. Maybe drop this entirely, not the best card, I just have it here because it is what I have...
  • Rest in Peace: Self explanatory.
  • Authority of the Consuls: This card is to help against aggro decks or decks that rely on creature abilities
  • Lion Sash: To prevent graveyard shenanigans
  • Heroic Intervention: Overall great protection against boardwipes and spot removal.
