Niv-Mizzet, Dracogeniusfoil EDH Deck.

2nd version of Niv-Mizzet released, and probably the weakest of the Izzet ones (as commander). Still, he's okay; and this is meant to be a mid-powered list, not a cEDH one, so he's my commander.

Mana is often left up after Niv is out to cast counterspells. If we don't use that mana to cast counterspells or other removal, on our last opponent's end step, for every we have we can either ping creatures or ping face to draw cards. (Usually the latter, though sometimes is used to kill 1 toughness creatures. Remember, = 1 damage to any target, and Niv-Mizzet, Dracogeniusfoil draws us cards when he hits people).

The sideboard is cards I'm currently considering.

This Deck Wins via Infinite Combo:

Niv-Mizzet, Dracogeniusfoil + Mind Over Matter + Izzet Boilerworks or Gilded Lotus

This enables damage to face and draw. Our mana source (Izzet Boilerworks or Gilded Lotus) taps for either or respectively (with two taps of Gilded Lotus). Niv-Mizzet, Dracogeniusfoil uses this mana for his : ability to ping our opponent's faces and draw us either one or three cards (Gilded Lotus), and one or two cards are discarded to Mind Over Matter to untap our mana source and reset us back to the start of the loop.

While we have draw, your hand size won't actually be increasing with Izzet Boilerworks (though it will with Gilded Lotus), since you're discarding cards to Mind Over Matter. There is no worry of decking yourself though. Ulamog, the Infinite Gyrefoil is in the deck, and he(it?)'s not there to be cast. Eventually, in our draw / damage, we'll draw into Ulamog. We then pitch him to our 'yard to shuffle our graveyard into our library. So we we really do have damage and draw.

Deathtouch:

Niv-Mizzet, Dracogeniusfoil can ping creatures. Once we give him deathtouch (Basilisk Collar), it's : Destroy target creature.

Alternate Win-Con:

When putting together this deck, Mordenkainen was chosen for his -10, not his -2. In practice, though, I generally use his -2, and I've occasionally killed people with big dogs, so this is worth mentioning.
