The deck attempts to abuse the "downside" of Taniwha. It achieves this by playing symmetrical land disruption on the turns that Taniwha phases out your lands. This will hopefully slow the table down enough for you to ramp up with mana rocks and close the game with powerful beaters. The rest of the deck attempts to overcome this "downside" with mana rocks, flash enablers, and free spells.
