Taking advantage of Lavinia's effect to make it harder for opponents to play magic. There are 2 ways to do so: Cards like Knowledge Pool and Omen Machine force the opponent to cast spells without paying their mana cost. These then get countered by Lavinia's second effect.

Cards like Fall of the Thran and Armageddon destroy all lands. There are numerous mana rocks in this deck to ensure that we can still cast spells, but this does not help the opponent as Lavinia stops them from playing cards with CMC higher than their number of lands.
