So, Dihada. How do?

THE OVERVIEW

Dihada's kinda swole, entirely thanks to her first two abilities.

Her +2 is fairly obvious, it gives target legendary creature Indestructible, Vigilance, and Lifelink. We can abuse this in a number of ways, but I'll get back to that later. Most importantly, is that you now have a legendary creature with Indestructible and Vigilance, so you can both safely throw damage around, AND block to keep Dihada safe, since it lasts until your next turn, rather than until the end of the current turn.

Her -3 is nuts, because, when you mill the top 4 cards of your library, you MAY put any legendary cards milled this way into your hand, and for however many you DON'T add to your hand, you make a treasure. So, basically, you can just choose to mill 4, to get 4 treasures immediately, which is REALLY nice for casting all those high-cost creatures we have. And of course, if you spot a legendary card you DO want... well, you can add it to your hand, if you want. I even specifically included a TON of legendary lands so that, excluding a few, you can choose to use Dihada's -3 before your land drop for turn, and if you hit a legendary land, you can add that to your hand, make 3 treasures, and then play the land, so you still have 4 mana to play with to cast all the big spicy things.

Her -11 is... well, obviously really strong. That being said, I would never build around, or really even try to rely on this. If you can do it, go for it, since you can almost definitely take at least one person out of the game immediately, but yeah.

THE INTERACTIONS

Agrus Kos, Eternal Soldier

Agrus here is nice, and it should be obvious why. One downside to Dihada's +2, is that it's a single target ability, and so only one of your creatures may benefit from it at any one time. Unless you target Agrus with it, and pay an additional {1}{RW}. He then copies her +2, and applies it to every other creature you control, which I gotta say, for 2 mana, is REALLY NICE.

Ashling the Pilgrim

A solid mana dump, but especially useful thanks to her gaining indestructible and lifelink. This would already be strong with indestructible alone, since it means she won't kill herself once you activate her ability 3 times, but on top of dealing damage to everyone, and everything (except planeswalkers, woo), she has lifelink. You'd hit yourself for X, immediately heal back that X, and then also deal X to every creature and other player, so you gain a boatload of life, usually, while also taking care of mana dorks and other smaller things, which is lovely. If you really need the extra oomph, spend mana during other players' turns to put up to TWO counters onto her per turn, since she won't trigger the bomb until you use it 3 times per turn. Once it gets back to your turn, you can nuke the field for way more than 3 damage if you have the mana to spare!

Breena, the Demagogue

Show

One of the few creatures in the deck that your opponents might actually not want to blow up. Gives people incentive to not attack you, and an EXCUSE for you to attack the person with the highest life total. Plus, it's a great way to make your scary creatures even scarier, which coincidentally, also takes the heat off of Breena, since blowing removal on her means there's still a larger-than-average Drakuseth or something chilling there.

Garna, the Bloodflame

Show

You activate Dihada's -3, and ditch a bunch of stuff you'd love to have in your hand, but you ALSO want the treasures. Cast Garna. You'll get all the ditched creatures back to your hand, AND you get to make maximum treasures. I mean you might hit a legendary non-creature, which would suck, but ehh. Also Garna gives everything haste, which is 10/10 in this.

Heartless Hidetsugu

What's worse than a Heartless Hidetsugu? A Heartless Hidetsugu with a damage doubler out, but we don't run slimy things like that, so instead you'll have to make do with an Indestructible/Lifelink Heartless Hidetsugu. Domes everyone for half their current life, including yourself, which you immediately gain back so it's fine, and then you start skyrocketing your health off of your opponent's misfortune, it's great.

Hofri Ghostforge

Show

Whenever your stuff dies... it just gets better. And at worst, they're the same as they were before, except they're spirits now, if someone decides to get rid of Hofri. Obligatory mention that Agrus Kos, Eternal Soldier is a spirit, and is affected by Hofri's stat, haste, and trample buff inherently. It's not particularly amazing, but you can point it out and have a chuckle at it.

Kaervek the Merciless

It's just good, bro. Now with lifelink and indestructible.

Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin

Show

Dihada removes Krenko's one big weakness: He's a limp noodle in terms of stats. NOW, you can attack with him freely, and generate lots of gobbos to do what you want with, similarly to Myrel, Shield of Argive. Also pairs nicely with Breena, the Demagogue.

Magda, Brazen Outlaw

Show

Activate Dihada's -3, allowing everything to hit the grave. Then swing with Magda. You then have 5 treasures, which you can sac using Magda's last ability, BEFORE DAMAGE IS DEALT, and put Avacyn's Memorial directly onto the field. Which uh, is good. Can also fetch Luxior, Giada's Gift, any of the dragons, the world's your oyster here.

Myrel, Shield of Argive

Show

On top of being mono-white Krenko, she's free to attack safely thanks to Dihada's +2 buff, creating more soldiers for you to protect Dihada with, or whatever else you might want to do. Even more impactful however, is her Grand Abolisher-style effect. Normally, while Dihada's buff makes one of your, presumably best, creatures safe, there's a small window where said creatures are vulnerable at the start of your turn. If someone has removal, they can hang onto it until that window, and there's nothing you can do about it. Except Myrel, that's something you can do about it. Removes that window of opportunity for opponents to deal with your threats, and even stops counterspells, because this deck DOES have all the big spooky stuff. If you have this out, alongside Dihada and Agrus Kos, Eternal Soldier, you are EXTRAORDINARILY set.

Odric, Lunarch Marshal

Show

Works similarly to Argus, except the effects only apply to your whole board during combat. Upside being, there's no mana cost, and it copies a lot more keywords than Dihada can apply on her own.

Oros, the Avenger

Show

Kinda works like Ashling, except on a big beefy flying thing, needs less mana to blow up the board, and won't off itself or any of your white creatures, but also can't deal as much damage as Ashling if you set up Ashling properly. Lifelink shenanigans apply.

Primevals' Glorious Rebirth

Yeaaaaah, all those legendary permanents you may have chose to ditch to the grave to generate treasures with her -3 are gonna get really useful, really quickly. Is another reason running a ton of legendary lands is REALLY useful here.

Avacyn's Memorial

This thing is hilariously strong, for very obvious reasons due to the sheer amount of legendary permanents we have, and as mentioned earlier, can be tutored to the field by Magda, Brazen Outlaw incredibly easily.

Gerrard's Hourglass Pendant

If you pop off, you're gonna be a target, and boardwipes are definitely going to be a thing you need to worry about. This is sort of like a better Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero assuming you're okay with holding up 5 mana for it. Because who doesn't love taking someone's boardwipe and turning it into a good thing? Added bonus of, for just 1 mana, annoying the player that happens to get extra turns.

Luxior, Giada's Gift

Show

This card is NUTS. Equip it to Dihada, and she can now target herself with her own +2. Assuming you equip this to her the turn she enters, you can use her +2 to turn her into a 7/7 Vigilance, Indestructible, Lifelinker, that can't become the target of opponent's attacks since she's no longer a planeswalker. By the time she can attack next turn she can be a 9/9. Generally just makes having her around extraordinarily safe. Have Agrus Kos, Eternal Soldier out for even more extreme shenanigans. Also, since it's legendary, Avacyn's Memorial will keep both it and Dihada very very safe.

Kaya the Inexorable

Her +1 protects your stuff, technically. Better to go back to your hand than be lost to your grave. Her -3 is solid removal. And her -7 is, obviously, kind of cracked in this deck, and should allow you to permanently be a massive threat, since you can now spend your mana on returning Dihada to the field whenever you need to, freecasting ANY legendary spell, and if that spell is a creature, you can further protect it with Dihada. Since this deck is already pretty alright at protecting Dihada, who's to say it won't be good at protecting Kaya too? The ult isn't impossible far off if you just keep using her +1, which again, is pretty good for you already.

SUGGESTIONS?

Honestly, if you can think of any great legendary creatures that are abusable when made super durable or lifelink-y by Dihada, lemme know!
