How It Feels to Play Against This Deck

Hey all,

This is a deck centered around Ertai, the Corrupted. A friend gave me the card to use as a commander, and I've never looked back. In my circle of friends, this deck arguably has the highest win percentage.

The central, core strategy of this deck is to control the board both directly and indirectly. Once Ertai is up, you can hem and haw about every spell opponents play, gaining just as much favor from letting something go through as you can by countering it. The key is to juggle and balance the power state of the board, so that no single player is powerful enough to gank you outright, while also making sure no one else can be easily wiped out (unless it is on your terms.)

This deck is most successful late game, when it has had a chance to build a strong board and protect itself via counterspells. Swinging in with big flying creatures tends to be the most reliable route to victory. The lack of removal sometimes hurts, but I've found boardwipes sit in my hand unused, and kill spells are better off as general counters.

I am keeping infinite combos out of the deck to keep its power level capped. So please don't recommend Mind Crank to pair with Bloodchief Ascension, for example.

Some improvements I have been thinking about: Mass token generation like Army of the Damned or Darien, King of Kjeldor, Magister Sphinx, Voidmage Husher, etc.

Give me any and all advice! I'm always looking to augment and improve the deck.
