This deck is looking to flash and out tempo most pioneer decks. The coup de grâce is to flash in master of waves at flash speed and kill the opponent on our turn

So When going around I agree with most people that Prophet wasn't great as well as the Gear-hulk package. Was talking to the guys at the shop and they thought that splashing green is good but for dual cards because the big pay off of the deck is instant speed master of waves. due to that we needed either quickness or time. Leyline and counter magic that sticks is great for our devotion (quickness). The problem the deck ran into was what if it wasn't quick and ran into some aggro or combo match up. That's where the Tamiyo and Flood of tears came in. Tamiyo can keep getting back flood of tears and set the opponent back while we develop our board even at instant speed with most of the deck.
