Ever since starting commander, Meren has been something I always wanted to make. Began with a rough homebrew, now with several mod sessions done a decent deck has emerged.

Meren thrives on a reanimator strategy that controls opposing board states with forced sacrifice and targeted removal that can be brought back from the grave. Card draw/ramp achieved using creature sacrifice and a few land grab spells. Birthing pod is used as a way to upgrade creatures and fill the graveyard, which also fuels Meren.

The main wincon is using Mikaeus the Unhallowed to machine gun opponents to death using Walking Ballista or Triskellion. I've also via good old fashioned beatdown using big creature combat.

After several updates and playtesting this brew does very well against most styles of deck, always room for improvement however so further advice and constructive criticism is appreciated.

Update 1: Terastodon and Mikaeus the Unhallowed in, Doomgape and Voldaren Pariah out.

Update 2: Archfiend of depravity and Jarad's Orders out, Walking Ballista and Entomb in. Also added High Market as another sac outlet.

Update 3: Testing Constant Mists and The Gitrog Monster.

Update 4: Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest/Basilisk Collar out, Survival of the Fittest/Sensei's Divining Top in.
