Deck #5 in the Big Dumb Tribal Series

Introduction

I've had this deck around for some time, but in reviewing my decks here on TappedOut, I hadn't realized how high of a CMC this deck actually runs. This makes it a perfect addition to my Big Dumb Tribal Deck Series.

I saw some deck techs on Gisa and Geralf shortly after getting into EDH, and thought it would be a fun build. This deck does the three things I love the most in EDH: make tokens, graveyard recursion, and combo off. I'm going to expound a little on these three routes the deck can take.

Zombie Token Army

In order to really get a token army going, token generators are a necessity, and the Zombie tribe provides plenty of options for producing tokens.

Token Generators

• Cemetery Reaper makes a token for the low low price of getting rid of some problem in someone else's graveyard.
• Diregraf Colossus makes a token when I cast a Zombie spell. Two-for-one ain't bad.
• Ghoulcaller Gisa is the queen bee of making Zombie tokens. She get's her own special section later.
• Grave Titan is awesome. The combo is included here.
• Lich Lord of Unx
• Liliana's Reaver
• Noosegraf Mob
• Stitcher Geralf can make some really tall Zombies.
• Cryptbreaker
• Zombie Infestation

Horde Win Conditions

This is accomplished with Blanket of Night or Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Zombie Master on the board. Simple, yet effective. I can generate infinite Zombie tokens with Ashnod's Altar + Grave Titan + Nim Deathmantle , or Ghoulcaller Gisa + Intruder Alarm can net a metric ton of tokens, especially if the sacrificed zombie is equipped with Nightmare Lash or Lashwrithe. Add Kormus Bell to the mix, and it's infinite tokens. Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos will clear the path to wiping out your opponents.

Infinite Life Loss Combos

• Diregraf Captain + Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar
• Diregraf Captain + Gravecrawler + Rooftop Storm
• Gravecrawler + Rooftop Storm + Vengeful Dead
• Rooftop Storm + Gravecrawler + Tendrils of Agony, also for infinite life gain.

Infinite Zombie Token Combos

• Ashnod's Altar + Grave Titan + Nim Deathmantle
• Ghoulcaller Gisa + Intruder Alarm + Kormus Bell

Infinitely Large Zombie Combos

• Gravecrawler + Grimgrin, Corpse-Born + Rooftop Storm for a great big Grimgrin.
• Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Ghoul + Rooftop Storm for a great big Ghoul. Can substitute Natuko Husk as well.

With Grave Pact on the board, it clears creatures out to take out at least one player.

Other Combos

• Attrition + Gravecrawler + Rooftop Storm
• Stitcher Geralf + Fatestitcher + Kormus Bell + Intruder Alarm
for lots of mill.

Synergy

Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos make for good board clearing with all the sacrificing going on. Sidisi, Undead Vizier makes for lots of tutoring. Secrets of the Dead will net a lot of cards if the Gravecrawler + Rooftop Storm combo is going.

Rooftop Storm + Soulquake for major board swing.
