Key Mechanics,

Big Power Small Toughness: Greven has a very powerful draw ability. Thanks to cards like Rite of the Raging Storm , I can draw 5 cards for merely 1 life every turn. This ability is the true power of Greven. The other ability is fun but this is what makes him a very powerful option.

Lifelink: Giving Greven lifelink returns all life you have lost during the turn. Ex: Pay 5 life with Skeletal Scrying , pump Greven +5/+0, gain 5 life via lifelink.

Trample/Evasion: Greven can hit like a truck but Menace isn't the most reliable way to ensure that damage actually reaches an opponents face.

Group Slug: Pain for everyone via effects like Zo-Zu the Punisher but Greven turns our pain into even more pain for them.

Group Discard: Having such impressive card draw in the zone allows me to play cards like Mindslicer to disrupt my opponents far more than myself.
