You say you are looking for some instant permanent removals. Beast Within comes to mind, as well as Assassin's Trophy . In some cases, Nevinyrral's Disk can also come in handy. Not an instant, but if it survives the turn you put it into play, its destructive spectre looms over everyone and can be activated whenever you feel like it during anyone's turn.

For lifegain, I would add Whip of Erebos ; also a great card to temporarily return stuff from the graveyard for you. Exsanguinate can also grant you a ton of life in a pinch.

Thx for your suggestions NV_1980! I like the options you provided regarding permanent removal. Nevinyrral's Disk is something I considered way back when I looked up board wipe options, but in a creature-heavy deck like this I don't want to play a lot of those effects. In my opinion, the fact that you are forced to use disk at some point when it's in play and everyone knows what you are up to is something that I don't enjoy, thats why I decided against it. Exsanguinate is a card that doesn't fit the theme of the deck imo, so never considered it as an option. It's a decent card nonetheless.

Whip of Erebos is a card I also own in paper, it never hit me as an option surprisingly. I can see its value in this deck, and I think I will test it out soon!
