I designed this deck focused solely around the Emerge mechanic, so most of the cards are designed to get you mana or cards/creatures. You may notice the deck only has creatures. My goal here is to provide plenty of sacrifice targets for Emerge and to have meat shields available, when they're needed. Also because I love creatures.
