A Mardu Enchantress deck built around Ghen, Arcanum Weaver.

The idea is relatively straightforward: Slowly outvalue your opponents with some of the best enchantments in the color combination. One of the deck's most overlooked strengths is that it consists of mostly enchantments, so a typical kitchen table meta with your friends will have to pick and choose what they want to remove, as most decks just don't come prepared with that much enchantment hate.

Filling in for creatures are cards like Sphere of Safety and Sigil of the Empty Throne, creating blockers to protect our lifetotal, or taxing an aggressor and making them think twice before committing.

We can end the game a number of ways, and thanks to Ghen's ability we shouldn't even have to wait that long. Milling or discarding an expensive threat like Overwhelming Splendor means we can just bring it back at a later turn. In addition, we can ignore the downsides to most of our enchantments, such as Demonic Lore, as Ghen can use them as fodder to bring something better back from the grave after getting the initial value from them. We can also sacrifice sagas like Elspeth Conquers Death that are about to go to the grave in response to their third lore counter trigger, getting maximum value from everything we play.

Enjoy!
