This is my first standard deck. The idea is to lay down a few creatures and buff them up for the early win. It is filled with lots of cards to combat removal and a good amount of evasion (Protection and Trample).

At this point I feel like the deck will be competitive. I could really use some advice on my sideboard though as I have never really constructed one before.

I played the current version of the deck at the standard tournament on Thursday. I went 2-2 which was a big improvement over last week. The games that I won, I won handily. One of my losses felt close and I could have won with slightly better luck. The second loss I was destroyed by a control deck. Specifically the card Crackling Doom was a big problem for me. If anyone knows a good way to deal with it that would be great. Also I think I will be replacing Defiant Strike with Warriors' Lesson.
