Recently I have been looking for a new, interesting commander. Some mechanic that I am not already playing. I have ETB Burn, I have unblockables, I have cats, I have changelings, and I have Voltron; I even have a group hug/pillow fort deck. So looking for something different.

Xyris, the Writhing Storm sparked my interest. I also didn't have token swarm deck of any kind already in my toolkit.

This deck utilizes getting massive amounts of snakes on the board by causing all other players to draw a ton. Just from test play it seems like two of the hero cards in this deck are going to be Teferi's Puzzle Box and Throne of the God-Pharaoh, but will have to wait and see what my friends throw at me while playing.

This is a very new build, and would welcome suggestions. (Dont want Purphy or Impact Tremors as I already have 2 different ETB damage decks ( Heart of Black Coal - Ayara ETB trigger EDH and The Fat Red Line - Purphoros EDH )

Heroes

• Altar of the Brood – Shocking, I have milled the entire table with this. Originally put in as a bit of a joke, it has been putting in some work in recent games.
• Goblin Bombardment – When i really get rolling with snakes, this is a great way to push through that extra damage to kill the biggest threat on the table, or the biggest threat sitting across the table.
• Sakashima the Impostor and/or Spark Double – These are almost always copies of my commander. Basically like having a couple extra Parallel Lives in play.
• Throne of the God-Pharaoh – If I attack with 15 snakes, even if 5 of them end up dying to blockers, I then go on to do 10 damage to each opponent.
