This is the near final product of my first EDH deck after taking a break from the game for 5 years. I started with a stack of legendary creatures and ended up picking Varolz based on a friend saying he was underrated. Thus began the journey of my first Commander Deck.

This deck started as a budget voltron deck, as time went on and I was able to buy more cards; the deck moved closer and closer to a combo playstyle.

But as we are now, the primary goal is to be able to cast PoR, NatOrd, Entomb/Reanimate, Buried Alive/Necro Ooze, etc.. in the first 3-4 turns. Varolz is a sac outlet most people don't pay attention to, viscera seer is there as a back up. Viscera seer also is required for the turn 1 win. As you probably know the longer the game goes on the less likely this kind of deck is to succeed. Autumn and Summers veil will help protect against counters giving you more buffer room. Quillspike/Devoted Druid, Praetors, and Helm combo are back up plans just in case. There's nothing more fun than being like "yeah, I hit you for 3 billion and 1 damage" after somebody messes up one of your other combos. Helm is a good back up plan to search for and sometimes you start with leyline on field and it's like "Hey!, why not?"

I will say enchantment staxs can be this biggest pain of all for this deck, if you see it on the field. Do your best to remove them or cripple them quickly. If anyone has suggestions on how to get past humility and RIP please leave a comment.

This deck has been a blast to make and watch evolve. Starting as the new EDH player with his easily countered voltron deck, to hearing other players at my LGS talk about how hard my deck is to play against. I hope everyone finds their EDH baby to love like I have.

Updates Add

So last night a made a few purchases to help this deck be more reliable.

After adding those 5 cards and play testing. I will say this deck will consistently threaten to win on turn 4-5. This is without me even using a mulligan to fish for something better. I would say turn 3 win is uncommon, but pretty doable. Turn 2 requires mana crypt, dark ritual, or sol ring. Turn 1 is going to be a God hand; Viscera Seer, Reanimate, Dark Ritual, and Entomb or Mana Crypt, Dark Ritual, Buried Alive, Reanimate.
