Phenax, God of Mill's goal is to put as many cards into opponents graveyards as possible, then to bring it all back to the battlefield under your control. With Phenax, God of Deception on the battlefield, it turns cards like Tree of Perdition and Wall of Frost into a repeatable mill that can quickly get through opponents decks.

This also makes sure you have plenty of targets to Reanimate.

Nighthowler and Consuming Aberration get stronger with more card in the grave which allows you to mill even more cards. There are also a couple of infinite combos in the deck that works with Mindcrank. There's Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank and Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank .

There's also Eater of the Dead which is potentially an infinite combo by itself.
