This is the deck I'm enjoying most on Arena right now. It's pretty nonsensical, but so much fun.

It arrived at its current form by means of the following wild ride.

It started with wanting to do something with Protean Thaumaturge, and that led to needing enchantments to trigger him, and that led to wanting to synergize with those enchantments, which is where Aphemia, the Cacophony came into the fold. After that, Tymaret Calls the Dead was an obvious inclusion to work with Aphemia, which added a self-mill wrinkle to the deck, so I added Lazav, the Multifarious to copy creatures lost to the milling. Then Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger, for being probably the best trick Lazav can pull off, shapeshifting into a 6/6 that eats a card out of your opponent's hand, and/or deals 3 damage to them. You can even have Lazav copy Kroxa, and then escape Kroxa, thanks to Lazav's ability to retain his own name when transformed. Then you have two copies of Kroxa out, doing terrible, terrible things to your opponent.

The removal is almost all enchantment-based, which is where Hateful Eidolon absolutely shines. Dead Weight and Mire's Grasp for killing the annoying early game creatures, drawing you a card off of Eidolon, and providing Aphemia and Tymaret (Calls the Dead) with Zombie fodder. As far as synergy goes, that's not bad.

So the deck ends up being a kind of... enchantment-powered, self-milling, graveyard-recurring deck, with the added twist of Thaumaturge and Lazav occasionally transforming into other things. I don't really know how to sum it up, but the fact that it resists easy classification is one of the things I love about it. It's really fun, with no two games alike because of how Thaumaturge (and Mirrormade) copy the opponent's cards. That keeps things fresh and exciting even after countless playthroughs with the deck. I'm loving it, and I hope you at least like it.
