Gruul Aggro is an aggressive deck that attempts to lower your opponents health to zero as fast as possible. It focuses on attacking with high damage, low CMC creatures and utilizes both burn spells and pump spells.

Why to play Gruul instead of Burn or Mono-Red:

  • You prefer creature spells to Non-Creature spells

  • You like a more consistent deck

  • You like to grow your creatures into bigger threats over time.

  • You like green!

Flinthoof Boar or Stormblood Berserker ? - Both!

Courser of Kruphix - more of a mid-range card than an aggro card. Removed.

Burning-Tree Emissary - Mana costs are low enough to make his refund almost useless. Up for replacement.

Tarmogoyf - WTF, Why n0 g0yf?! With a few small changes Tarmogoyf could easily be run in this deck. I'm not playing him because he isn't as good in a deck that runs mostly one card type. While you can still expect your opponent to help grow him, don't rely on it. This deck isn't Jund. Also he's $150 a pop and I don't have a playset. That said, he's an amazing card and I am still considering him.

*Please note that this is still a work-in-progress.
