Feedback on V1 KCI style

Jhoira Egg Storm V1 (KCI style) 55+ Artifacts; 8 Storm cards; 3 Counters; 2 Wincons

If you are considering such build: Win(works) 2/3 times, gorgeous cards but it makes the game not fun, your last turn is unexpected by opponents, it takes 5 min to go through the whole deck, sometimes you pray, sometimes its 5 min wasted because you're stuck, opponent looking at your stupid board with: soooo is it my turn now???? As a collector, I am very pleased with the deck itself, but not as a player. (it is an evolving situation)

A note on Artificer's Intuition: If you have 2 color lands: go get mana crypt, If you have 1 ramp land and 1+ color land, go get Lotus Petal or Jeweled Lotus (or jeweled amulet)... mmh

Maybeboard: Aetherflux Reservoir, Eruth, Tormented Prophet, Isochron Scepter, Dramatic Reversal, Codex Shredder, Firebrand Archer (and her brother), Grim Monolith, Thassa's Oracle, Walking Ballista, Chief Engineer

Opinion on V2 combo control style

Jhoira Combo Control V2 33+ artifacts 14+ card draw 10 control 3 win combos

This cEDH version focuses on combos rather then storming with cheerios. So it has more tutors and control cards have more room as they don't stall the cheerios storm anymore. The deck becomes a sludge but its a sludge of incredible magic cards. It's a lot of fun and feels like light vintage very much. One could change the deck to make it more control focused, another can make it more combo focused. I tend to value combos myself over control (missing stax for example).

Just to make it more visual: The deck is geared to offer the card draw combo first.

Top + Reducers Sculptor/Helm/Cloud/Birgi   + The Reality Chip/Mystic Forge. It draws the whole deck and cuts out the time wasting part of playing Jhoira that everyone sighs over. You don't need to draw the whole deck, just another combo (or its tutors)

Brain Freeze + Underworld Breach, target self until you get Lion's Eye Diamond/Lotus Petal. See this vid for a breakdown: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgzx9Op5lvk

Words of Wind + 3 mana from 2 Power Mana Crypt/Mana Vault + Mox Amber/Mox Opal and/or Birgi   for Infinite Colored (or colorless) Mana and storm count. That's why we don't need the Dramatic Scepter combo. If we have 2 mana only like 2 Moxen or mana crypt and a cheerios that's not enough, the combo will need another source of colored mana to get infinite colored . If we have have 3 colorless mana we can get infinite colorless first then start bouncing a mana rock like Izzet Signet to transform it into infinite colored mana and cast trigger.

While doing this combo you will notice the hand size doesn't increase! That's also why the deck still really appreciates the mass artifact bounce spells Retract, Hurkyl's Recall Displacement Wave, Paradoxical Outcome, Rebuild and to an extent Chain of Vapor. These cards fuel your hand, which is useful if you want to access counter magic while combo-ing off. The are effectively card draw spells with Jhoira and paying 1-2 or 4 to draw 4-10+ cards (including artifacts so really 6-14+ cards)

There are many ways to get value from the deck, see interaction between: You get to do strange things like Underworld Breach + Wheel of Fortune, recasting and throwing hand in yard recasting to mill self Thassa's Oracle. Like just really strange lines of play that deserve exploration.

Lion's Eye Diamond + Wheel of Fortune

Underworld Breach + Retract

Underworld Breach + Grapeshot + Birgi
